Naloxone Awareness Day

Naloxone Awareness Day - 1.23 Naloxone Awareness Day - 1.23

January 23 marks Naloxone Awareness Day, a statewide day of recognition for the easily accessible and easy-to-use medication that reverses opioid overdose: naloxone. Naloxone is one of the most effective tools for preventing overdose deaths, yet many community members still do not know how to access it or how to use it. With our South Carolina Naloxone Awareness Day efforts, we aim to increase awareness of this tool and empower South Carolinians to keep naloxone nearby.

Just Plain Killers created our Naloxone Awareness Day toolkit to help partner organizations share lifesaving information leading up to and on January 23. We invite you to download, share, and spread the word about where to access it and how to use it, because with naloxone saving a life can be as simple as 1-2-3.

This “plug-and-play” toolkit includes:

  • Social media content (including text, graphics, and videos) to educate audiences and destigmatize naloxone
  • Resources for accessing and learning how to use naloxone
  • Downloadable FAQ graphics about naloxone

The toolkit was created for Just Plain Killers’ partner organizations, with everything needed to make spreading awareness simple. Please share with your audiences across your social media channels and beyond. Download files below to get started.
