Toolkit

Take Action Today

This digital toolkit was created as a resource for local leaders, educators, advocates, and community organizations taking action against the opioid crisis. Materials included can help educate communities about the dangers of opioids and fake pills, and to promote life-saving practices, like carrying and using naloxone.

Within, you’ll find ready-made resources to make outreach simple, impactful, and immediate. Whether you’re hosting an event, leading a discussion or sharing information online, this toolkit gives you materials to help prevent overdoses and save lives.

This “plug-and-play” toolkit includes:

  • Social media content (including text, graphics, and videos) to educate audiences about opioids, fake pills and overdose prevention
  • Resources for learning about naloxone, recognizing an overdose and supporting recovery in your community
  • Promotional materials to spread awareness and encourage others to take action

Prevent Today, Protect Tomorrow

Prevent Today, Protect Tomorrow

Just Plain Killers is an initiative by BHDD OSUS to keep South Carolinians informed about the risks of opioid use, the dangers of fentanyl and the recovery resources available in our state for substance use disorders.

One Fake Pill Can Kill

One Fake Pill Can Kill

Fake pills are designed to look like prescription pills but can contain lethal doses of fentanyl — and you cannot tell just by looking at them. Just Plain Killers is a reminder that as the presence of fentanyl spreads, just one pill can kill.
